Advanced Cooking – Day 37

Last minute touches on Thanksgiving baskets, pies and rolls were done today along with some final decisions and ingredient orders on our final menu on December 1st. We ended up making another half batch of cranberry relish because the batch we did only made enough for 10 12 oz. cups.

There was a lock-down at the school starting at 10:45 so we tried very hard to get everything finished up before then. I was out of class by 10:30 and had last minute Thanksgiving shopping to do before I headed home on my 1:55 boat to Orcas to spend the weekend with my family.

Hope everyone else has a fantastic Thanksgiving and I hope Thursday goes well for those who will be handing out baskets to families in need. 🙂
